Being a Rescue that focuses primarily on Senior, and Special Needs dogs, the veterinary costs and general care costs are overwhelming. We rely solely on the generosity of others to help us, by making a donation of any amount, so that we will be able to keep on helping these wonderful creatures. Rest assured, every penny that comes into Hopeful Hearts is put directly to use saving lives.
Hopeful Hearts welcomes donations of new, or gently used items of all sorts. Please see below for a list of items that are most commonly used by (but are not limited to) the rescue . Guardian Angel Program
Would you like to help a dog in need but are unable to foster? Do you have a wee bit of change at the end of every month that you could donate? Then please consider Hopeful Hearts’ *Guardian Angel* Program.
With a monthly donation of your choice, you can help many of our special angels. These funds would be used towards much needed medications, a special toy, a soft bed or even a warm and cozy coat for the winter season.
You can even stipulate where and how your donations are to be used. A monthly donation directed towards a particular cause or dog, will ensure that the money will be spent on the angel of your choice!
There are many angels for you to consider such as Dezzy, our hydrocephalic boy who is on seizure medication to control his condition, or perhaps Michelle,who lived outside 24/7/365 without a cozy bed or toys to call her own. Even old Finley, who would love a nice new toy of his own that he doesn’t have to share with his foster brothers or sisters!
You can help bring these dogs so much joy. Although they all live in loving foster homes, our donated funds only go so far. With a monthly donation to Hopeful Hearts you will ensure that we can continue to provide the best help, hope and care that these angels deserve and need.

Corporate Sales Donors
Ridalco Industries Inc., a 60+ year old Ottawa-based metal fabrication company that makes (among other things) stainless steel pet grooming tubs and accessories has become Hopeful Hearts’ first corporate sales donor. Its president, Joe Hunnisett will donate 10% of company sales of pet grooming tubs generated from customers referred by Hopeful Heart.
